Congrats!!! Still waiting for my grades to get there... they were sent 2 weeks ago and they still don't have them!! Oh well, just need to be patient...

That's awesome, congrats! ldj24: same here...:(

Thanks guys! I actually sent all my stuff out by May 10 so that's probably why I found out sooner. Don't worry--I'm sure they'll get it and reply in time. Hope you all make it and really looking forward to meeting you in person!

This is getting crazy! My grades were sent 3 weeks ago and still they have nothing up on minerva... at this rate they'll make my decision by december!

SAME HERE.
I don't really know what to do, there's no way the mail is that slow. If my university forgot to send it or something...wow I'm gonna flip.
The wait is killing me!

I talked to someone at my university and it was sent in the mail exactly 3 weeks ago to this day! Mcgill says that they might not have gotten it because the mail is sorted at another location... but 3 weeks...? I'm really getting frustrated!

Fax them your transcript (it isn't official) but what they could probably do is say 'Admitted--Pending Results' until they knew for sure u hadn't faked it or something.

Yeah, I was wondering about that...I think I'm gonna e-mail someone and ask.

From McGill's Website:

"To be considered official, transcripts must be forwarded directly from your high school, college and/or university to McGill. Unofficial transcripts submitted by you will not be accepted or used for admission. Additionally, McGill University does not accept electronically scanned transcripts"

See if your school can fax them. The 1st time I applied my high school transcript was mailed out & it took forever for them to receive it. So I had my guidance counselor fax it and they used that and I got 'Admitted--Pending Results.' I don't know if your college allows that or not (my uni doesn't and I had to wait for them to get the hard copy via snail-mail). So maybe you should check with your college to see if they allow that. That way you can fax & mail.

I just talked with a representative from my univ yesterday and she contacted someone at McGill to get permission to fax my transcript. Now I will just wait for them to get everything in their system... which seems to take forever anyway...

Hey at least you got that taken care of! Soon you'll be able to breathe again.

That's a really good idea ldj24, I'm gonna call my university right now to see if they can do the same!

Just letting you know ebola, it will take a lot of perseverence on your part!! Most universities are a little leery of faxing transcripts... I talked to a lady who was very stubborn and told me that there was no way that they would do it and I had to ask to talk to her supervisor, and finally after playing phone tag for a couple of days I got ahold of her. I then had to talk to the supervisor at mcgill (his name is Romesh Vadivel so ask for him if you call!) and then the lady from my school had to contact him... PHEW!

BTW... the fax # at mcgill is 514-398-8939 that might help you... lemme know if you find anything out or need any help, I'll do my best!

Good luck!!!

YES!!! It finally says that they recieved my grades on minerva!!!

Thanks, this helps a lot:) I'm in the middle of playing phone tag now. Ooh, you're gonna find out really soon then!

UD wouldn't fax the transcript, but I talked to a really nice lady at McGill who is letting me fax an unofficial copy of the transcript and they're going to make a decision from that. I'm getting really nervous now...

Isn't this all so frustrating! I wish they could've told me to fax my transcript 4 weeks ago when i first got it, but no...!!!

What schools are you guys from? What's UD (University of Delaware?)

I'm at University of Illinois in champaign, you guys have facebook? PM me your names and i'll facebook you!!! (god i'm a nerd...)
