According to Minerva at 1:30 PM...TRANSCRIPT RECEIVED!

now how long before a decision...???

Soooo confused...the lady I talked to on the phone today just e-mailed me saying my transcript was NOT received, yet Minerva says it was. ***?!

Admitted!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I can't wait to meet you in person. Y'know what my biggest fear is? That everyone will have already made friends and it'll be hard to make some good friends cuz you're a transfer.

that and where the hell to live!!!!!

True! I'm freaking out cuz I'm so worried I won't be able to find an apt. (yes, perhaps a lil illogical, but nevertheless...) and housing isn't guaranteed... :S

Congrats, guys!
I got rejected...after getting accepted last year. Kinda like a big, "hey, you got stupider in just one year!"
I'm gonna try appealing, definitely not giving up yet, I reallllly don't want to go back to UD next year:(
I'll let you guys know if I end up getting, if not, have an awesome time in Montreal and I'll def. see you guys in fall 2007!

Oh I'm so sorry EZ! I really wish you the best of luck in the appeal process. I was really looking forward to meeting you. Well lemme know what happens!

I checked the status of my housing on Minerva and it says

"We are unable to offer residence accommodation at this time. Please visit the Off Campus Housing website for information on housing in Montreal at www.mcgill.ca/offcampus."

I guess there goes the idea of living in the dorms.... now I'm a little worried about meeting people and making friends if I am living off campus as a transfer

At least you know for certain. Mine Just says:

" Please check this space after July 31 (the cancellation deadline for students guaranteed residence) to see if we are able to offer you accommodation."

Basically, I'm preparing for apt living too, just because the chances of getting residence are very slim and because I don't want to spend tons of $$ on something that would probably be cheaper just doing myself. But yeah that's my biggest issue friends-wise. At least freshmen have the opportunity to make friends before they get their apts.
