transportation permission - a poll

Im thinking that if toad was writing about straight male teachers speaking frankly about sexuality to freshman girls, there would be an outrage. A bigger outrage would be straight male teachers trying to get gay freshman boys to attend a straight prom. That is part of our cultural norm right now. Just because toad is espousing his/her point of view, doesnt mean anyone needs to jump down his/her(?) throat. Arent all the people doing so supposed to be tolerant of others’ opinions???!!!

PA-C, I attended Smith in the early/mid eighties and I also came from a pretty sheltered background. I wasn’t really aware of lesbianism until my senior year, when a few girls in the all senior dorm started whispering about two girls who were sharing a “single.” When I went back for my 10 year reunion with my husband and oldest son (who is heading to Exeter in the fall but was a toddler at the time) it seemed much more “out in the open.”
