Transportation

Hi all, I'm going to be attending an orientation session from June 5-7th. I'm from Pennsylvania!

How does one get to FSU from the Tallahassee regional airport? I went on the college website and I don't really want to use Zipcar, Zimiride, etc. Is there an airport shuttle that takes you to FSU? I also looked on the tallahassee regional airport website but all it has is limo services and rental cars... Please help me out! Thanks.

Unfortunately, the only shuttles I know of are from hotels, who provide them for guests. Since you aren’t staying in a hotel, that obviously won’t work for you.

Your only options really are a rental car, or a cab.

So every student who needs to fly out takes a cab or a rental car? I wish there were airport shuttles for students!

I think a public bus services the airport, you can also call the university and see if they have any recommendations.

There’s also trying to meet someone on your flight coming to FSU and hitching a ride with them, not many people fly into tallahassee

It’s a small airport. I’m not sure what you expect. Tallahassee isn’t a major city. FSU doesn’t have the budget available to provide transportation (nor should they need to) for every student flying into TLH.

Most students likely ask friends for rides to/from the airport if needed. Unfortunately, if you don’t have any friends at FSU (or at least any willing to pick you up/drop you off), then yes, they likely rent a car or take a cab.

The Tallahassee Star Metro bus routes do not service the airport, to my knowledge. I’m pretty sure that they don’t service Capital Circle SW at all, which is the main drag that the airport is located off of.
