Travel Grant

Hi guys! So I just got approved for a travel grant to Kenyon, and I'm really excited. :D

Is this a good way to see my admissions chances?

Kenyon is so unique and I'm really excited to be able to visit. The campus looks absolutely gorgeous and the fact that Josh Radnor and John Green graduated from there makes me love it all the more.

I'm also thinking of using it for the Cultural Connections program. Anyone with previous experience in that program? How was it?

My S is at Kenyon and loves it so far. Personally, I think it is one of the most beautiful campuses we walked, and one of the most nurturing places for writers and outlier quirky smart kids. Yes he is a nerdfighter  and Josh Radnor just was there last week to show the pre screening of liberal arts, filmed on the campus. We are not international, and chose to use the travel money after he was admitted to take a look. I think visiting now would allow an interview, which they say helps immensely, and may help you decide about applying ED if you love it that much. You definitely have to love a small college in a rural area, but it is unbelievable for sure!

Thanks so much for your reply!

I adore John Green and Josh Radnor. I’m extremely excited to be visiting.

I’m not entirely sure what to expect; most of the colleges on my list are pretty standard–state schools, some well-known ones like USC and Emory. Kenyon is the one I really took a chance with, but I’m so thrilled to see where this takes me.

:)

good luck with your search, good luck with your visits…we found the colleges that will change your life book helpful in the search as well…but nothing beats the faculty and nurturing at kenyon!

I am going on the Cultural Connections program (on a travel grant, just like you) this upcoming Sunday and Monday. Very excited to see this beautiful campus I have heard so much about.

Have you visited yet, and if so, what were your impressions?
