Traveling from Los Angeles. What is the best way to get to Socorro?
Driving or flying? For driving, get out of LA and onto I-40 heading east. Keep going past Flagstaff, AZ and on to Albuquerque, NM. At the interchange (yes, THE ONLY interchange) get onto I-25 heading south. Socorro is about an hour past ABQ. Get off at Exit 150 and turn right on Bullock.
For flying I guess just fly into Albuquerque and drive to Socorro on I-25 south. There isn’t a commercial airport in Socorro, just a little one mostly for private aviation.
I would guess the road trip to be somewhere between 15-20 hours depending on where you are in LA, how fast you go, weather, etc.
I see. Thank you @albert69 . If we fly to Albuquerque, and do not rent a car, do they have shuttles from the airport to Socorro?
@seal16 I don’t know. You could try contacting the airport to see.
