<p>i'm an international exchange student, and just was wondering what the best way to travel from santa barbara to LA is... i'm a big live music fan and there are some gigs i would like to catch in LA during my stay, but getting there may be a bit difficult... </p>

<p>taking the train might exciting the first time but after that it's boring and so loooong. i couldn't stop looking out the window the first time but now i find it difficult just keeping my eyes open! bring a book to read for the looooong ride, or if u don't read (like me), bring a pillow. nevermind those passengers that look @ u funny, just close your eyes, pretend the seat is a bed, and let the rocking of the train put u to sleep. zzzzzzzz.....</p>
<p>the ride to LA takes approx 3 hours btw.</p>
<p>Find some friends on campus with a car who have similar music interests and drive (share expenses) to L.A.</p>
