TRIALS Pre-Law Summer Program at Harvard

I loved my interviewer. She was very nice. I think I got across what I wanted to say  How was yours, Mr. Tubbz?

Mr. Tubbz, as I was looking through your posts, I found out that you go to Stanford-- congrats! I’m actually applying there as a transfer (results come out May 15th), and I’m thinking it would be the coolest thing if I get into both Trials AND Stanford. If you get into Trials as well, Stanford would have at least two people at Trials! Wouldn’t that be amazing?! I can only dream though. Both are extremely competitive obviously.

Any other finalists out there?

Hi,

Just registered for this thread and this thread alone. I had my interview 2 weeks ago and my references were all contacted for letters.

Does anyone know when we should expect more from this?

Hey, I was told we hear of decisions sometime in May. I believe the deadline for rec. letters is this week? They might need 2 more weeks after that to finalize everything.

Have you been interviewed yet? How did it go?

Oops, for some reason, I missed the first part of your post and went to your question directly.

My recs submitted their stuff ages ago. They’ve stuff on file for me for the two professors I used or just a letter itself for my boss last summer (Press Intern for a citywide elected… I live in NYC).

My interview went great. I ended up having a good conversation with the woman who called me about everything from intellectual property to my hatred of freshman chemistry. I felt pretty secure in my responses.

And how late in May are we talking here? I’d hate to hold off on all the other stuff I’m looking at potentially for the summer only to get a nogo from this and find myself screwed in terms of employment.

I hear the vast majority of admitted students will purposely be selected from colleges underrepresented at the top law schools.

SUNY Stony Brook. We’ve had like, 2 people go to Yale Law. They were sisters.

Mr. Tubbz and I face stiffer odds, he being from Stanford and I at Northwestern.

Hopefully one or more of us’ll get it (logic dictates at least one of us should mathematically get it) and we’ll be able to meet up at Harvard.

welp, I just learned that tomorrow is D-Day.

Once more into the breach, dear friends, once more.

Omg, are you serious? How did you find out?

Yea, 60 finalists, 20 chosen. 1 out of 3. Hopefully all three of us make it in :)

Nothing yet here. Anything with any of you?

Nothing. you gave me a heart attack when you bumped up the thread, lol. I should probably go grab my phone in my dorm since I was told there’s a possibility they might call instead of email.

The person I spoke to said they were going to try to notify everyone today. Could be postponed to tomorrow.

I’ve been staring at my inbox all day. It’s not fun.

I’m withya, Spoonsy.

I really hope it’s today. I have a paper due tomorrow, and I can’t concentrate!

Btw, could you go back to the email telling you of your finalist status and look at the time stamp? and out of curiosity, I’m curious about the date as well. For me, it was Mar. 31, 2:56 pm CT.

Tue, Mar 31, 2009 at 4:06 PM EST

Oh boy. Do you think they’re waiting until the end of business to send it out?
