Trigonometry vs AP Statistics. Which one is harder?

For classes next year I have the option of taking Honors Math Analysis (trigonometry) or AP Statistics. I was wondering which of the two is harder/more rigorous?. Also which one would look better on a college application? I am applying with my major undeclared to UCs and CSUs.

What math classes have you done well in in the past? AP Stats can be extremely rigorous, but trigonometry on the honors level is taught to sophomores in my school.

So far I’ve taken Algebra 1 which I passed with an A-, Geometry I passed with a B+, and I’m currently taking algebra 2 which has been the hardest math class for me so far. I got a B- in algebra 2 for the first semester.

If you intend to study in college anything that requires calculus or calculus-based statistics (e.g. any science, economics, business, sometimes other social studies), then you need precalculus / trigonometry. In that case, it is better to complete that in high school rather than take it as a remedial course in college.

However, knowledge of statistics is generally useful for anyone.
