hi! I was hoping for some info on trimble hall
what is it like? how are the bathrooms, rooms, etc.
i know it had a rat problem last year but has it been fixed yet?
thanks!

Trimble has a great location. It’s pretty much in the center of campus, near the DUC, McTyeire, Eagle Row, and the Living Green dorms. I heard the rat problem got fixed & the rooms are kind of average sized. I would check the photos on the FB groups for pics.

So…what’s the word on Trimble Hall? Good? Bad? Somebody on the Emory Class of '13 group page said that it wasn’t that great.

trimble was supposed to get torn down this year… what happened?
and its an ok dorm. The rooms are bigger than any of the other dorms (besides the new ones) and it has a VERY close knit community. the people on the floor end up being good friends with each other

I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be torn down after this year, once the new dorm is finished next door. I’d echo pretty much what Calvin said. It’s not a bad dorm, but it’s not a new one either. The worst part about it is that there is construction literally 20 feet away. But you are going to have the same problem with Turman and McTyeire. They are all fairly close to the construction site. Also, yes, the rats are gone.

FYI - There used to be offices for the German Department on the first floor, but I think it’s moving to the new Modern Languages Building (old Psych building) this year. Don’t know what will be on the first floor of Trimble from now on.

i lived in trimble last year. i personally thought the rooms were bigger than any of the rooms in the other dorms, with a few exceptions. we didn’t have a problem with rats. if you’re living in trimble, you’ll definitely make some really great friends because the hall itself is small. my best friends were people that lived on my floor. it’s in a good location and you could do a lot worse as far as rooming goes.
