Is it just me, or is the Trinity website pretty hard to navigate? I find it hard to logically move around from place to place, and locate info. For example, can anyone find the page that lists the people on their admissions staff? Every other college I've applied to has this info easy to find.

My impression of the school in person (very positive) was VERY different than my impression based on their website only. Wonder when they are planning to redesign it?

coalminerson, that’s EXACTLY what i thought, too! this can’t be the right school.

i am sure they must be planning to kick it up a notch soon. so many of the websites are just amazing, and it really does affect your first impression online. i am just glad i knew a lot about trinity before, so the website didn’t really stop my interest.

Yeah really. I know my local community college even has a better website…

Maybe it’s something to weed applicants down… Those who aren’t serious about Trinity spend ages trying to find the “right” website and just give up on applying? Hahaha…

Due to the recent “successes” of Trinity’s “Get lost, seriously!” program, Yale too will be redesigning our website. Expect a blank page with “Yale” wrote in the Google color scheme. You have to type in what you are looking for–exactly. If you don’t know what you’re looking for and simply wish to learn more about Yale, then tough luck. All comments may be directed to file 13 or “donotreply @ yale.edu”

did you think the yale website was that bad? i admit i was a little confused when i first got in, but i thought it flowed well. and those videos they added on essays and activities and such were pretty good.

didn’t realize you had to type in exactly what you were looking for there, tho, that’s rough.

but back to trinity, i really hope someone from their office reads these comments at some point, bc i think they probably DO lose some people bc of the look and impression of their website. in fact, i even thought it was to “our” (applicants) advantage that their website was so archaic bc i would bet it means fewer applicants for us to compete against. esp from areas of the country where they’re not well known yet and their reputation does not precede them.

I actually liked the Yale website. I was just cracking a joke at Trinity there. It was all sarcasm, lol.

Haha, I thought that as well. However, I’d say they want all the applicants they can get, and the look of there website will be only a hindrance, not an actual deterrent.

it loads pretty slowly on my pretty new mac, but the improvement of the site is IMMENSE.

watch their numbers go up next year.

have you guys seen dickinson college’s website…unbelievable, fast, sleek, and designed beautifully. honestly, dickinson’s is the best college website i have seen.

I agree about Dickinson’s website and everything else they do in support of their admissions program is equally impressive - for parents (like me) as well as for potential students. It is a very interesting LAC option.
