Trojan Transfer Plan Admission

Hi everyone,

I am currently a freshman at a 4 year university but got the Trojan Transfer Plan. Last semester I got a 3.45 GPA (2 As,1 A- and a B-), and this semester I am on track to get a 3.6. This semester I am taking calculus which is required for Marshall and have an A and am pretty certain I will get an A or A-. However my cumulative GPA may only be a 3.57, what are my chances of getting accepted?

3.7 or 3.8 gpa and above for a TTP and admission is virtually certain, particularly for engineering/science major. Below that, it’s less reliable to predict. TTPs are almost guaranteed, but that is if right classes are taken with the gpa they want to see. You will just have to wait till the results come out, frankly, like everyone else. No sure thing at USC nowadays and with a much smaller accepted class this year could be a game changer for some that were likely to get in other years. Not too much longer now…

Thank you for your response! When you say a much smaller accepted class this year, does that mean for transfer students or overall?

Oh ya, I was actually referring to the regular admissions cycle that has confirmed they are accepting a smaller number (quite a bit smaller). I guess we will have to see how the transfer acceptances are (if they are) affected this year. I would think they have to be, but I don’t have any data to back that up. They accepted 2300 of 9600 last year for a 24% acceptance rate, way above the regular admission rate. It’s hard to believe they would have made all the needed adjustment on only the regular admission pool, that would seem short-sighted of them. But we won’t have that data for awhile.

Goodluck… I love USC…my dream school…too expensive though

Hello, I am a freshman who has been offered TTP. I currently have a 3.92 GPA and will have completed 31 credits by the time I’m done with my first year. In this case, would I have to worry about being denied?
In what cases are TTPs denied?
