Hello everyone. So I have a problem of retaking A&P 2. I got a C in the course but needed a C+. My only options are to either retake it this semester or take it in the summer. The issue is I go to a private school so the turion for the summer is 1,040 per credit so the prices really add up. I can’t really be taking out more money for loans and the school can’t give me any more money.
As of right now I’m already scheduled corn Microbiology, Patho, Nutrition, and informatics in health care, with another elective class.
Would it be bad if I were to add A&P 2 to the mix since they offer the course this spring semester?
Go to your dean for a waiver to the policy, then take the class at a cheaper community college or state school.
If you get turned down, suck it up and pay the money because you must finish the program to get the license.
This is why community college RN programs are so competitive: because they are the cheapest, fastest avenue to the degree.
It’s much easier to get into nursing programs at private schools because so many people can’t afford them, so there’s much less competition.
Last piece of advice: get a tutor, make flashcards. Invest in a tutor so you get the grade you need. Yes, it’s extra money to spend, and you may need to take out a loan, but look at it this way: you already failed the class once. They probably won’t let you continue if you fail twice. And if you don’t pass, all your previous work is wasted.
Is there a possibility of taking Nutrition and your elective at a local college then taking A&P 2 at your primary school. Often certain science courses have to be taken at the institution, less critical courses might be able to be taken at another school.
