Stupid mailing stuff out annoys me because it totally depends upon locale.

It just worries me that the boy who received one is from NJ...and I'm in NY.

Let it go. The decision has been made. You're powerless over when you're going to find out. Worry is useless.

Yeah, I'm from MA,and nothing came in the mail today for me either. I find it kind of weird that only one person has heard so far.

Maybe they only did Trustee and we could have gotten a lesser, like 1/2 tuition scholarship.

But it would make sense that at least one more CC'er would have gotten a trustee, seeing as there are at least 30 selected, you know?

Yeah, considering how qualified everyone on here is.
Everyone has been saying that the emails come out first though, so if one person already got a letter, wouldn't that mean that our decisions would be online? Hopefully we will find out our decisions somehow on Monday.

I got the trustee scholarship too! It came on Friday, in a small envelope, so at first I was afraid that it might be a rejection letter. I was really surprised to win the scholarship, because I thought it would go only to "walk on water"-type applicants.

I had kind of forgotten I'd applied for the scholarship, given the slim chance of winning, so I don't remember exactly what it covers. The website says "tuition and mandatory fees." I'm guessing that doesn't include room & board?

Guess I'll have to give BU a closer look now...I have no idea where I'll end up.

So I guess that means that the rest of us didn't get it?

Probably so...and if it's not in the mail tomorrow I'll be especially doubtful.

I don't plan on attending BU I just wanted to be offered the scholarship because it would be fun. Why am I so jealous?
At least I am further away than anyone else is so it is possible that it could just be delayed.

Well, BU is not my top choice, but I may end up going there because of the scholarship money, and if I did end up going it would be nice not to have to pay anything. Maybe a miracle will happen and NYU will give me merit money...who knows.

I wonder what the yield is for Trustee Scholars; in other words, if BU expects to have 30 scholars, how many total Trustee Scholarships are awarded, taking into account applicants like Laurenemma who are going to turn it down?

"I don't plan on attending BU I just wanted to be offered the scholarship because it would be fun."
Geez, you could be taking away the spot from someone who really wants to go and needs the scholarship money...oh well, maybe they have a waitlist too.

I applied to BU as a safety, but if I ended up getting admitted only there I would have liked to have a scholarship. I was admitted somewhere else higher up on my list so I don't plan on attending any more. They probably do have a waitlist, and the kids that don't get Trustee probably get some partial scholarship.

Does BU offer any other Merit-Based scholarships besides the Trustee? I didn't realize you had to apply for it, and missed the deadline.

I believe they offer other merit based scholarships that are like half tuition without applying.

Hmm... has the website changed for those who got the scholarship? I haven't heard anything, but I'm in rural TN and our local PO is spotty at best, so I'm not giving up hope...

I just got the trustee scholarship letter and no,the website hasnt changed for me

Okay...people in India have gotten them, I'm not getting one. Oh well...
