Trying to switch residence hall

<p>I was thinking about requesting a different residence hall. I looked over the procedure of trying to add my name to the waiting list for a different hall, and followed the directions to MyHousing system but I never saw an option to add my name to the waiting list. Is there usually a general time this is made available?</p>

<p>Also, do people on the waiting list start getting assignments to new halls before, or after the fall semester starts?</p>

<p>And what is the likelihood that my request to switch is granted.</p>

<p>Does anyone know a better way to try and get another hall?</p>

<p>I think you can start requesting after a week or so. They want to make sure students give their rooms/roommates/halls a chance before deciding to switch out. And it will be after the semester starts. You can probably move but I don’t know why you’d want to. What is it that makes you want to move so badly?</p>
