<p>No, you can’t change roommates. You can request to change dorms, but not until a certain amount of time has passed, and a lot of people will be trying (but not that many spaces will be open) so your chances of getting what you want aren’t good. The only exception is if you can find a person in your hall who wants to switch with you, and that is handled internally by your House Fellow (RA). You can’t switch dorms if you find someone to switch with, though.</p>
<p>If you don’t like what you got, the best advice is to stick it out for a semester, and then, close to winter break, request a room change. Many people move in/out then and many people get to move where they would rather be, and your chances are a lot better. Request a change when there are four or five weeks left in the semester, so that you can be first on the list to change rooms at the semester break.</p>
