Trying to upload a recording of my composition

Hey guys, i need some help

I hv read that someone sent his compositions to U chic, and I'm thinking of doing the same.
Do you guys know how to upload an audio file like .mp3 onto the additional information page??

Thanks a lot for answering ~~ btw, Have you guys heard of anything like that? pls reply

Amoschm- to my knowledge there's no way to do this. You should burn it to a CD, label it with the type of composition/instrument and your name and school, and mail it in with one of the forms for supplemental submissions that you'll be able to find somewhere with the common app. The admissions office will receive it and have someone in the appropriate department look over it.
This process is the same for art slides, videotapes of theater performances, scores of something you composed, research abstracts, etc.

I'm actually sending my compositions as something extra (something like my EC?), not like a required performance for assessment.

I have looked at the commonapp site, and I don't see the form you mentioned. Can you tell me where you specificly saw it? Thankyou so much ^^

Maybe the arts supplement form on this page will work?

Yes, I'd use the arts supplement. It's probably the best way.

The only problem is that you need an arts teacher's letter of recommendation, and your clip needs to be around 10 minutes long. You also need to upload a resume.

If you think you can get all that done, then definitely take this route.

However, if you just want to send in an MP3 of some compositions, I'd just upload it to a website and put the link in the "Additional Info" section. I don't know if this is "acceptable" but if you already have the MP3 and nothing else, then why not?

As I said earlier, the "official" way is through the arts supplement.

For the website, I used "webs.com" based off of a suggestion from another member on here :) (Music | is the link to mine)
You can just set up an account and upload your MP3 that way (it's free)
