@katief8 so Tufts did not send you any emails? And what is the day that you got that letter on the portal? Is that still the day of admission notification or earlier?
@son8598 I did not get an email, but some other students did. I’m not sure why, but I’m guessing it’s because I checked literally 2 minutes after it was posted. Tufts can see when you check it, so I’m speculating that they didn’t send an email because they knew I had seen my decision. The letter on the portal comes out the same day that decisions are released. It was December 14 for us EDI kids.
@katief8 actually i’m quite hopeless now since my SAT score is quite low 1990, but I got 1 international gold medale and 1 national gold medal for my robotic invention. I don’t know if this can help me. Beside the SAT, everything is very good.
@son8598 One of the infinite amazing things about Tufts is that it truly is a wholistic read of your application. It seems to me that if you have below average SAT scores but you write amazing essays and have special talents that you have just as good of a chance as someone with a perfect SAT but boring essays and few extracurriculars. Obviously we can’t be sure about any of this as we aren’t the ones sitting at the table when the admissions officers read our applications, but judging from the group of people I’ve met through EDI, Tufts does everything it can to create a diverse and intriguing group of people by looking at them as so much more than their preformance on a single standarduzed test.
@katief8 did you get an acceptance package? I had a few friends who got in ED1 and RD last year and it seemed like the ED package was a little different…maybe because Tufts knew that they were already attending so they didn’t need to send as much?
guys, tufts just got my mid year report today, so i dont think it’s coming out today…

Hi guys, my friend called admissions and they said it will come out by the 15th the latest, but most likely next Friday, February 12th. I guess we have another week left to wait

I have also asked them via facebook and here is what they wrote: We are hoping to have ED2 notifications go out towards the end of next week. If not, they should go out the following week. Thanks!

@CornelianGuy yeah, you should contact the financial aid office. I sent mine on 1/25 and they receieved it the very next day.

@confusedonhades All I got was the letter on the portal and the same letter in the mail, no package. One of the admissions officers said they would send out a full package in March once they have all of the housing information and such available.
