<p>I'm the parent of a new Tufts/NEC DD student fairly active on the Music Major CC board. I was wondering if you might join me over there to help clear up a few misconceptions about the DD program. The question of double degree programs comes up quite often on the music major board. The Tufts/NEC DD program is generally portrayed as nearly impossible to get into and enormously difficult to finish. I would love for other potential DD students to get an accurate picture of their chances for admission and the likelihood of finishing their DD. Accurate admission, retention and graduation statistics would be very helpful. </p>
<p>My son is the only Tufts/NEC DD student to enroll this year. I suspect that exaggerated perceptions of the difficulty of admission and completion of the DD, may have contributed to the small class size, though I recognize that the number of students who are both interested and qualified is small. </p>
