Oh my. I can see the headlines now: “Rejected transfer students storm university, demand appeals for ‘not showing enough interest;’ University officials refuse to comment.”

English major I think a lot of us are applying to basically the same schools. Alas.

Maybe we should transfer this thread to the Tufts thread so that Dan can see how interested all of us are. Maybe he will be overwhelmed with our ‘interest’ that Tufts will offer us immediate admission.

Actually, anyone here good at hacking? We could hack into their accounts and hold their endowment hostage! " index finger right above the ‘delete’ button ACCEPT US OR WE’LL SEND YOU BACK TO THE STONE AGE!" haha.

Oh yes. We are only joking. Please overlook any erm ‘over-enthusiasm’ from our side and consider all that a part of our unconditional love for Tufts ;)

Oh my god. That can’t be healthy. Though, I think it’s because they usually waitlist many, many applicants and thus they need time to pull people off the waitlist. THEN they’ll start evaluating transfers. List of schools that waitlisted many students this year:

Duke
Tufts
Penn (I think?)
Northwestern
WUSTL
Harvard (I think)

If you check the decision release dates of these schools, I’m pretty sure you’ll find that they reply in mid-june, too.

My assumption was somewhat correct None of the schools reply early. Cornell, USC, and Vanderbilt (among others) are already sending out decisions.

hahah okay, so I was a off by a month… BIG DEAL. lol. But in all seriousness, there must be a reason for this.

I don’t know - have you guys looked at the old acceptance threads? I swear I’ve seen people posting decisions from Tufts in May. Maybe I read what I wanted to then. That is upsetting.

I feel like I’m the only person who is dying to know what the decision is already. June is soooooo far away! I’ve spoken to a couple of students who transferred in 1 or 2 years ago and they all said that sometimes you can be notified as early as april. Anyone hear back yet?
