Hey Vlam, that happened to me as well, infact its still happening even after I got my acceptance letter in my hand.

Vlam, I know someone who applied last year (didn't get in) and they were told that transfer decisions will not be posted on TAMS... TAMS did however report that their decision was available but when clicked, the letter that you and Don_K are seeing appeared...also, he wasn't able to click the "Your admissions decision will be found here when it is available" link until late May so I think the fact that you're able to click it now is a good sign
good luck and please update the thread if you hear anything

Call them up and demand to know. lol

ClaySoul--
back to your post from before....did they really tell you the end of may? I've called a bunch of times this week for random reasons and each time they told me that notifications would be sent out may 5th.

I called admissions yesterday to check if my app had been reviewed yet (the woman said no) and when the decisions will be sent out and I was told by the end of next week (or in other words, by May 5th)

I called again today and heard the 5th, so I think that's the right date. They really need to inform their attendants better! I'm so sick of mixed information

what are your stats girly girl?

i don't think i've given my stats before...here they are
freshmen at lafayette college
3.3 first semester
4.0 mid semester report ( hey, it definatly counts and helps)
3.7 hs

3 excellent letters of rec
1 excellent essay (if i do say so myself)

College EC's for freshmen year:
picked to be the student editor for a Prentice Hall book titled: Keys to College Success (go figure...)

picked to be a Writing Assosiate for next year (only 50 are picked schoolwide each year)

picked as one of only 7 freshmen out of the total 250 people to get an intership this year (worked with the senior editor of weightwatchers)

selected by profs to attend a leadership conference

HS EC's
i won't list them all...let's just say I was the president of 2 groups,
--started a new club at my school that is now the biggest club there,
--recieved the presidential award which went to the most academic, involved student
--awards from the board of education and the Rotary Club
--to give you an idea of how much i did in hs, i won the "did the most in hs" superalitve for the yearbook..haha

what do you think? do i have a shot?

Well, I got in, so I don't see why not.

thanks, any thoughts from anyone else?

girlygirl,

i think you will get in. Don't worry. Where else have you applied, and have you recieved any decision from those schools yet?

wow, that really made me smile, i'm just so nervous.

also applied to brandeis and nyu--

and seriously, this chat is throwing a massive party after we all get our acceptance letters

Word up. Leave me to bring the alky and the bud.

dude, brandeis sucks. girly girl..i'd say you're good. btw, I go to Tulane college in New orleans! Are you in Lafeyette LA?

nope, lafayette college is easton, pa (small liberal arts)
and brandeis does NOT suck...i stayed overnight and the kids there are so open minded and friendly, which is a lot different from where i am...plus its a great school academically

I agree, girlygrl you sound like an awesome candidate and I don't think you have much to worry about

I think we've seen two very different Brandeis'!

has anyone heard yet? im getting so antsy! i havent heard from any of my schools yet!!

so I just called them and they looked up my info and they were like "uh i dont think you're gonna get a decision before May 5th" which is later..which makes me think im a part of the reject pool since everyone else is hearing by May 5th. ahhhhhughhhghuhg.

no no, don't worry. They're sending the notifications OUT on May 5th. They told that to me before I even told them my name. ( I just called to ask when transfer students would hear). So don't let that think you're in the reject pool.
