My guidance counselor told me Tufts called him today’s requesting my mid year grades! Good sign right? They must be finalizing their decisions!

Sorry *today
But if they were rejecting me they wouldn’t be requesting mid year grades right? Because my school already sent in quarter grades.

Not to be the bringer of doom, but they could be deciding on you and need more information. Or, like many other schools, it might be a part of the application.

Also just to add to the general pool, I have a 4.3 weighted GPA (school doesn’t un-weight) and a 33 ACT. I have a photography portfolio as well (totally self taught): [Elana Galassi Photography](http://erosegalassi.carbonmade.com)

Yeah could be anything! I have a 4.5 gpa and a 33 ACT

i have a 2.6 and 38 on my act composite

Future jumbo right there ^^^

Is it too nerdy to say “TROOOOOOOOLL IN THE DUNGEONNNNSSSSS”? :P

Hey Tufts ED IIers, are most of you Ivy thumbs downers?

i was differed from Dartmouth, if that is relevant to your question lmao

yeah, i was wondering if edII is used by schools like tufts to try and get some of the folks who were deferred.

probably! were you deferred?

Nope! I just like Tufts better than the ivys I’m applying to. Plus I’m going pre med so the early assurance program is a major plus

@twang10 Thank you. That’s a high complement. I, too, appreciate sandwiches.

What kinds of things do you all like to put on your sandwiches?

What’s the most interesting place you’ve ever traveled?

At the core, I’m a classic ham and cheese man. But i love peppers, spicy brown mustard, peanut butter, and marshmallow fluff (not all at the same time though… only sometimes)

I’ve been to the Philippines, England, Canada, Japan, Guam, and many major cities all over the US. I can’t pick one but Tufts’ international appreciation is one of the major things that drew me to the school!

Spicy brown mustard is some quality stuff. I’ve really begun to appreciate salami on sandwiches these days. I was picturing a pepper, onion, and marshmallow fluff sandwich there.
Always wanted to go to Japan. I’ve traveled around the US, Mexico and Central America. Had an incredible time in the dry forests of Costa Rica’s national parks. A lot of opportunity for ecological research there, and for teaching the local population how to interact with the environment in ways that minimize damage. Really brilliant there. Scorpions and crazed monkey attacks too.

TuftsGirl, do you know what branch of medicine you want to go into? Just because it’d be funny to have two kids who are interested in Neurology on the same message board.

I hope the impending blizzard in mass doesn’t delay our decisions!

Yeah I want to be a child neurologist or psychiatrist! I’m interested in the cognitive and brain sciences major at tufts!!

I’m just praying for no school. any word on the date yet?
