Wow hi5 diana, I plan on transferring in case I got rejected too.
I bought my Tufts hoodie when I attended the Voices of Tufts program. At first some of my friends said why I want to purchase Tufts’ stuffs when I’m not even sure if I will get in or not. But well, since my love for Tufts is just so big, I couldn’t help it. And I want to have at least some kinda keepsake for one of my coolest experience ever.

And you’re not alone DCG, I know how you feel lol
Actually on the day I got my Tufts interview, I wore my Tufts T-shirt and hoodie to school just to feel more confident in myself. My Tufts T-shirt turned out to be a bonus to the interviewer tho [:

@laura: absolutely. nothing in the world a cupcake can’t fix, let’s be straight here. for my birthday my mom made me harry potter cupcakes… needless to say, best birthday ever (and yes, i was turning 17. no shame.)

@hpdaking: dude high five right back! my parents are all like “you shouldn’t go somewhere planning to transfer just because it’s not tufts” but i can’t help myself! i haven’t had my interview yet… waiting to be contacted, getting nervous. should i email them?

also: just me, or are you guys refreshing your tams 24/7? i know nothing’s going to show up, and they have all my documents, but i can’t stop checking it constantly… ugh. love anxiety.

@diana: If you’re an ED2 applicants, I think you should contact them since we have exactly 4 weeks left.

And I avoid checking my TAMS account as much as possible. Only when I need to check if my counselor sent my mid-year report or not. I really am scared to see this kinda statement “Thank you for applying to Tufts BUT …”

By the way, did any of you here made a video for your optional essay?

@HPDaKing I’m admiring of you to actually do one. I considered the video supplement, but I was like, meh, what if I look like I’m high or awkward? I just can’t cope with them seeing my cluttered room too… In the end, I opted for the “Connect a law to your life” supplement.
How did the video go for you?

And Diana, I feel like the refresh button on my laptop for TAMS is becoming my best friend…:/. Anxiety freaks are cool, though ( I prefer to think so, so I don’t get worried about my mental status as I check TAMS about 50 times per day :P)

T-MINUS 27 DAYS!!!
The video was intriguing, but I felt like I couldn’t do it justice. I did consider sending in my AP chem final project (a music video parodying the Lady Gaga song “Alejandro” as “Avagadro”) but it was too long. I wrote the “celebrate your nerdy side” supplement because I am a HUGE nerd.
And I check TAMS far too much, I know it’s not up yet but I keep wishing :(

hi im a tufts edII applicant too! i literally have told nobody that i applied early decision, not even my best friends. only my parents (not even my sister) and my college counselor know. I’m applying to 11 other schools regular; Brandeis, Boston College, Middlebury, Georgetown, Vassar, Wesleyan, Barnard, Hamilton, Connecticut College, Franklin and Marshall, and William and Mary
im a recruited athlete so fingers crossed the track coach will email me a little early with news!

At my school, there are no secrets when it comes to college apps >.< or GPA, or SAT scores, or anything… we’re obsessed. OBSESSED. For example:

Today a Kuwaiti prince (yes, really) came to speak in our international relations class. Cool, right? First question asked by classmate: “Why did you choose Northeastern [where the guy attends]? Are you happy there?” Second question (different kid): “How many schools did you apply to? Top choice?”

Haha some people at my school are like that, but for the most part, we’re pretty chill. My physics class is this huge nerdherd, and we give people standing ovations when they get into really good schools. We don’t recalculate class rank after junior year, so we’ve stopped being super competitive and now were all really supportive.

Haha are you perchance in Calculus based AP physics?
My school has both regular AP physics and Calculus based, and the Calculus based one has all of the real nerds in it, the fake nerds take regular. Its quite hilarious, i love almost everyone in that class.

Yeah, it’s just crazy. Once I was at this party and a girl from school I vaguely knew of but had never met (our class if ~500 kids) came up and asked when I got my Tufts EDII decision back. Everyone just gossips a lot about college and stuff. Now that prom season is coming up, though, that’s starting to be a hot topic. Also stressful :/

I didn’t take physics! So glad. Enviro is more than enough for me. Total IR/history/language geek right here-- math and science, not so much xD

Haha! There’s only one AP Physics class in my school, and it’s mine. Its also Calc based so Yeah, there are UBER nerds in there…who all compare 98s to 100s. Smh…lol!!

haha I’m going into chemical engineering, i basically have to take physics. And my school doesn’t have a senior prom, so that isn’t really an issue. But good luck!
And funny story- I was actually a history/language geek for the majority of my life, I absolutely HATED math until I took AP chem (last year) and realized that math had a purpose, and that chemistry was awesome. I’m probably the only ChemE major in history who plans to bring the Complete works of Shakespeare to college, along with all the Harry Potter books…

And Diana, I’m a history buff too!! I’m taking 4 History classes my senior year xD
So I really plan on getting into Tufts (see the optimism? :)) and majoring in biochem and poli sci.

@laura-- i am sorry but that is about the coolest post i’ve ever read on cc, hahahaha. i guess i have something similar; i’ve never been stellar at school math or science, but i love astrophysics, so i’ve been reading about it as much as i can. planning on bringing all my brian greene books to college with me :)

haha Diana, we’re not weird, just multitalented…at least that’s what I keep telling myself! Also, my highest SAT was reading? and I’m an engineering major? That’s just weird.
Also, my Math was my middle. Everyone I know either got reading and writing as their highest two and then math, or math as their highest and then reading and writing. I AM A FREAK

Hahahahaha I totally dig “multitalented.” Or maybe “quirky,” since that seems to be Tufts’ favorite word!

Oh god, my SAT score is kind of a joke. 800 reading and writing, 630 math! The fact that the 630 is 39th percentile for my high school really makes it.
