Thanks I’m a bit worried about the discrepancy, though-- I would kill for your math score. *bows
For SATIIs I did US History (740) and Lit (780). I think I should have taken Spanish, but I totally ran out of time-- took my subject tests in November (15 minutes before my Tufts tour!), and the SAT in December (procrastinated again). Which ones did you do? I’m assuming math-y science-y things based on your major :)

Yeah. I took Chemistry and Math- both 750’s. And I took them in November too! I didn’t have power so I had to go to my friends house to print off my admissions ticket.

Oh god, that’s awful-- I would have been in complete panic mode. Props for keeping it together!

Even worse- I had the day wrong. I found out the NIGHT BEFORE my test that it was the next day, I thought I had an entire week. Instant panic mode.

Holy crap! That’s an ENTIRELY different level of panic mode, haha-- the “blind panic” stage, I think. I had that a bit the night before mine since that’s when I started studying/realizing I knew nothing, but no comparison to your situation at all. Did you at least have hot water for a shower?

No, it was cold. And my house had no heat. We had been out of power for a week at that point so it was FREEZING

I think I would have just gotten utterly overwhelmed and given up at that point, to be honest. Without the ability to power shower for focus, I really don’t think I could face it hahaha

I was freaking out. I didn’t even know what to do with myself. And it took me FOREVER to find a bunch of sharpened pencils to bring with me, because the only sharpener we had was electric. I came out of that test thinking “Oh ****, I’m pretty sure I just failed. Goodbye tufts”

That’s the funny thing-- no one ever seems to be confident about subject tests after taking them! I was the same way, 100% sure I bombed and could kiss Tufts goodbye. Same story with my friends. Although at least all of us had power going into it

Waiting for my scores in November was EXTREMELY stressful. Tufts average scores for math and science subject tests for engineering students are about 740-800, and I was convinced I got less than 600 on both.

Yeah, same. I was even more freaked for the SAT 1, though. I thought it was going to be uploaded at 12 AM or maybe 2 AM, so I stayed up even thought it was a school night. They weren’t, so then I woke up at 5 to check. Processed my writing score as 600 and my math as 530, which resulted in tears. Didn’t realize til half an hour later what it actually said xD

What I freak out the most for, though, are AP tests. I am that sucker that pays the collegeboard to tell me my scores early, because I get so unbelievably stressed about it.

OH MY GOD SAME. I feel so weak and pathetic, but I paid for the scores by phone too. I just knew I couldn’t wait. I was so convinced I’d failed one of them that I would have paid just for it! Damn collegeboard.

IM SO GLAD I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO CAVED!!! which ones did you take?

Just two-- you can’t take any before junior year at my school, and even then your only options are APUSH and bio. I took APUSH and “self studied” (read: did nothing) AP US gov. Thought I failed gov to the point where I started one of my essays with “I don’t know a goddamn thing about superdelegates, so let me tell you a story, dear AP reader.” Somehow pulled off a 5 on both though, must have been a good scale year.
Which did you take? And what are you doing this year? I’m doing enviro, english, Euro, psych, and Spanish, then most likely self studying comp gov so I can get national scholar. Clearly, collegeboard is my master.

I’ve done Chem, Bio(self studied) and World History. This year I’m doing english (Language, not Lit), Physics C (both of the tests), Euro, and French(self studied). I have a solid 5 streak going and I want to keep it that way!

How was world history? I was thinking of self studying it just out of interest more than anything, but I don’t know if it’s too much info to cram on your own. Yay for both doing Euro! Isn’t it awesome? My favorite class this year for sure, although it is crazy hard. And that’s so cool you’re self studying French! Are you a native speaker?

Nope, but i would’ve had to drop out of my a capella group to do the actual AP class. And World is INSANE. You have to know so much! I got extremely lucky last year, they asked about basically the only subjects I knew.

Oh OK, good to know about WH; I think I’ll stick to comp gov, haha.
Ooh, music! I don’t sing in a choir or anything, but I play classical piano pretty seriously and like to sing/play guitar on the side. Do you play anything, or mostly do a capella?

I can do a little piano, and I’m building a guitar, but I mainly do ensemble singing. I’m not much of a soloist but i KILL harmony, so I love a cappella.
