Nice talking to you, and I hope so too! :)

Lol honestly reading your conversation is fun. If I can like any of your post, I sure would have done that. I thought I’m the only one whose obsession for Tufts has reached the pathetic level but so nice to know that you 2 have it too xD
Well now I genuinely hope all of us in this thread will get accepted because that means my future classmates will be soooo interesting [:

@hp- I know, it’s so nice to find other people who have stooped as low as I have for Tufts xD and yeah, I am hoping for you guys as much as I’m hoping for myself since you’re all what I imagined Tufts students to be like. It would be so cool to be Jumbos together next year! /cheesiness :P

Also, just found a strategy to take your mind off Tufts. My friends and I spent the last 4.5 hours watching Titanic and rewinding our favorite scenes. For the entire time, I don’t think I thought about Tufts once, which is the longest I’ve gone in like months. Highly recommend watching some overblown movie, particularly one that involves Leo :)

Haha my method of distraction for today:watching a zillion episodes of the Colbert Report and the Daily show, and baking. My friend KC and I are making a model of a sucrose molecule out of cake balls (with different types of cake for different types of atoms). Not that I’m a nerd or anything…

Im lovin this ED2 thread… #Jumbolaya

I love how everyone at Tufts has a kind of connection with Jumbo <3 and gosh everyone is so friendly, enthousiastic, and passionate its such a great environment.

I can’t stop thinking about Tufts. And my pathetic level 493321 is me sitting home alone watching the Tufts youtube channel crying at the extent to which I’m not getting in

@Laura: Stewart and Colbert have been getting me through these times too <3 I’m so sad Jon isn’t going to be Stephen’s VP this year, though! Hahaha I’m getting seriously tempted to vote for Colbert in 2012. Your sucrose molecule sounds amazing, by the way.

@Samantha: IKR, it’s been so fun to find out that all the prospective Jumbos are just as unique and cool and welcoming as I thought they’d be. I try to avoid the Tufts videos since they put me in a similar mood of despair, but it’s so hard What are you hoping to major in?

26 more days and we will go through this “Tufts time” y’all (:

This is my sucrose molecule It was what I did today to distract myself from TUFTS!!!
(I think I have officially achieved supernerd status.

Ugh i wanna know now!!!

laura, that’s amazing. i need to find something as distracting as baking, because i am just freaking out :(

and yeah mjb, i’m dying to know too… ka;LKJD;LKJ;K

does anybody know the exact time the results will be available online? I started a countdown but I want it to be really exact
also does anybody know the acceptance rate for early decision 2? i know the regular acceptance rate is 21% but I’m sure its higher for early decision

Nobody knows the exact time except the admission officer, sadly :(

IT’S SO FRUSTRATING THAT THEY WON’T TELL US. And RD is 21%? I thought it was more around 26%… damn.

Re: diana2012 and others:
Tufts acceptance used to be around 26% but last year it dropped to a record low 21%. This year, the number of applicants has only increased. I was accepted ED1 last month, and one of my fellow future classmates mentioned that last year, there were 17,000 applicants regular decision. This year, that number rose to 23,000! Unfortunately, this means that the acceptance rate will probably go down even more…I wish all of you the best! Applying ED round 2 should help somewhat, I think.

Are any of you going in with zero fin aid??

@letsgoeat, what do you mean? Are you asking if we applied for FA? I certainly did… so screwed :/

I applied for FA too. I have been applying to like a bajillion random scholarships also.

Not even me, actually.

i did not apply for financial aid. even though Tufts is need blind, they do need a certain amount of students paying full tuition so it helps a teeny bit.

@Dan, do you guys just release them as soon as you’ve finished reading through all the applications? When do you know the date/will we have any warning before the decisions are posted? I’ll need some time to prepare myself D:
