@Diana, I’m pretty sure it would be impossible for me to prepare myself for the heartwrenching agony of a Tufts rejection
That being said, a few days warning would be nice.

@artsychick: I’ve heard about that and been totally freaked out recently. Keep telling myself if the acceptance rate actually drop down to 15-17%, I would have no chance. I even made myself a list of what to do when I get rejected. Like I could actually see it coming now T_T

@Laura-- I know, I could never REALLY prepare myself, but a little warning would definitely be better than none. Ugh.

@HPdaKing-- I REALLY hope the rate stays at ~21% this year (even though it probably won’t) because I agree; down to ~15% and I’m done. And I just have to go to Tufts I know there are other schools but…they’re just not the same :’(

I know!! One of my friends was offered a spot at Harvard, but she chose Tufts instead. BECAUSE TUFTS IS THE BEST SCHOOL EVER.
I WANT TO GO SO BADLY.
23 more days!!!

hi guys, never really posted here but I found something:

According to the New york times today, Tufts received 16,364 apps this year, or a 4.47% decrease from 2011.

[Applications Surge to Berkeley and Virginia - NYTimes.com](<a href=“Applications Surge to Berkeley and Virginia - The New York Times”>Applications Surge to Berkeley and Virginia - The New York Times)

Anyway, this sound like good news to me!

YESSSS!!! The less competition the better!
On a side note: Hey new EDII’er! Welcome to the forum for obsessive Tufts hopefuls. What’s your major and why do you love Tufts?

YEAAAAAAAAAAH CAN I GET AN HALLELUJAH?!?! I hope EDII apps went down too, not just regular decision. And yeah, welcome Doctorwho94! :)

OMG is this foreal? LOL that number $23,000 been haunting me even in my dreams every night.
I remember my interviewer told me the number of applicants this year is the second biggest in Tufts’ history, and only less than one year, I guess that means we only have fewer applicants than last year.
However, this sure is great news to all of us EDII applicants [:
So I guess shouldn’t be done with hoping too soon xD
And welcome new ED2 applicants who brought us good news :D

So do you guys have midyear exams at your schools? We only have them in math and science (wooo, my two worst subjects). We did Trig on Monday and Tuesday, which was alright, but Enviro tomorrow is going to be an absolute slaughter hahaha.

We have them in all subjects. I have English and Government tomorrow, Calc and Physics Friday, French Monday, and Treble Tuesday. (I don’t have to take a Euro one because it’s an online course)

All subjects??? Yikes, that sounds awful The calc + physics day sounds particularly daunting…

Calc is my best subject. It’s actually quite easy because AP calc wouldn’t fit in my schedule(I’m only taking honors). Physics, however, will be GOD AWFUL.

I can certainly empathize with your physics situation, haha, considering how enviro is likely to go tomorrow. I’m really tempted to give up, but I know these are the last grades Tufts will see so I’ve got to do well God dammit.

I KNOW!!! My stress level is so high right now, I just got home from work and I have 107 more words to define before my gov midterm tomorrow… HELLO CAFFEINE!

Hahahahahahahaha clearly we have similar study habits! I finished Enviro today, ugh… can you say “sleep deprived”? But hey, we’re done with midyears, time to have fun! At least until we get our grades back :(

Grrr I still have 1 to go, but I have to take it early so I can have all my grades by Monday to send to Tufts. I had to ask all my teachers to grade my stuff early (Grades are due by next friday, they’re finishing them this weekend)

Yeah, I had to ask mine to do theirs early too. laksjd;lkfj;alskdj I just want to go to Tufts so much but I’m already going into pre-rejection depression

Grr I understand completely. I just sit around, picturing my reaction to my rejection. I’m pretty sure that’s not healthy… I need to find something better to do with my time!

Exactly-- I can’t stop picturing opening the website and seeing “We’re sorry, but this was one of our most competitive years…”
I tried to distract myself last night by going to Harvard Square with my friends but seeing all the Harvard kids just reminded me of college I don’t even want to go there, but at this point I associate anything collegiate with my imminent Tufts rejection. Officially giving up on trying to live a vaguely healthy/normal life until decisions come. Then it’s either party time OR crying in my room with REM on repeat.

@Diana- That is exactly how I feel every time somebody brings up college I’m pretty sure we might be the same person, and not realize it. Like a Fight Club style deal.
