I can’t speak for Emory, but here is Tufts:

Reputation–stellar; especially if you are looking to be in the northeast. Graduate Schools and employers definitely regard the school highly (that is, people are more attune to Tufts in places like NYC, Boston, D.C., etc.).

Sports Scene–Tufts doesn’t have amazing sports (it’s DIII). Most of the colleges in Boston don’t have amazing sports (maybe BC). But it’s Boston–where college lacks, professional sports teams make up: Bruins, Patriots, Red Socks, Celtics. All are very successful sport franchises.

Party Scene–people study hard during the week but let go during the weekends. Tufts has awesome events like Spring Fling (an annual concert held at Tufts–this year, Guster, Lupe Fiasco, and White Panda are coming). Greek life exists, but it doesn’t dominate. For those who want to party, they can easily find it, and for those who don’t, they can easily avoid it. Plus, it’s Boston–you have countless other universities at your doorstep.

Attractiveness of Student Body–depends who you talk with. Some say there aren’t many, but others say that has improved massively lately. Though, on the other hand, Tufts isn’t any different from schools like Duke or Harvard in this regard (both schools, ironically, have the same idea that their student bodies aren’t attractive and people have to lower their standards–I feel this is pretty common at most universities). But seeing how you live in the Boston area, you have an entire community of young people (so many colleges = so many different kinds of people). Personally, I don’t see attractiveness as any different from other schools, but that’s just me.

Beauty of Campus: Gorgeous. You are in a hill, but you can see the Boston skyline from the library rooftop. You can see students studying outside in the grass, etc. The fall leaves are brilliant and the spring flowers are stellar. So it’s nice. Winter gets cold, but it’s honestly not horrible.
