Tufts vs. Emory

Trying to decide between Tufts and Emory... undeclared major, looking for liberal arts obviously... any opinions?! I know this is a vague post, but I decided i should just start a general discussion and then get more specific later on

Emory or Tufts? Atlanta or Boston?

What is the stronger school for foreign language? What about study abroad (I'm pretty sure Tufts for that one..)

I don't know anything about Emory, but Tufts has one of the most rigorous foreign language requirements of any university in the country and, yep, Tufts has reputably the strongest study abroad program. Just this year, a major magazine (drawing a blank as to which one!) dubbed Tufts the best for study abroad.

Atlanta is certainly a wonderful town, lots of cultural events and the weather can't be beat, but for college kids, Boston is the place to be. I grew up in the Boston area and returned to begin my professional career in my early-mid 20s. Surrounded by all the college kids, I felt like an old lady!

Another survey rated Tufts as #5 for study abroad... I think that was research universities. Over half go abroad at some point or another, but many only go for a semester, so the campus doesn't empty out. Also, Tufts has a summer campus in France (Talloires), which is in the Alps. Tufts professors come to teach the courses, and students live with French families.
