Tuition Costs at Berkeley?!!?

I'm an out of state student and I want to know how much will it cost to go to Berkeley. I know there are two figures that are on different websites: usually one around 20k for out of state. and then theres another figure thats around 8k for fees.

So what is the total cost for an OOS student (not with housing or food or misc): do you add the 20k and 8k??? or is just the 20k??

because on my official sheet i got from berkeley. my student budget only had the 20k????? whats the answer???

i don't know, but for instate, the cost is like 22250

<a href="http://students.berkeley.edu/admissions/general.asp?id=26%5B/url%5D">http://students.berkeley.edu/admissions/general.asp?id=26</a></p>

It says below the chart: Non-resident tuition add $19,620.

So it'd be the $20k + $8k figure for tuition + fees.

All-in it's around $45K, with some variation depending on which dorm you choose/get. (Of course that doesn't include transportation.)

I'm out of state and concluded it would be about 50K, including all costs along with transportation. It's a **** load of money for out of state, probably why I won't end up going to Berkeley.

Go to the UC Berkeley Registrar website for information about 'fees'.
UC Berkeley Registrar : Registration Fees

FYI: Techinically the University of California was founded as a TUITION-FREE system for all in-state residents, but decades ago the Regents decided to implement various fees. So all in-state students are paying educational fees, housing fees, registration fees, and campus fees which all sum up to a defacto tuition.
