I am an international transfer student (RH). Can anyone tell me how to pay the tuition and fees? Besides, since the housing arrangement won't be known until August, how to pay the housing and meal plans cost?

I live in the US but I assume we pay the same way. Fordham will send a bill after the start of the school year to your home. We typically write a check and mail it in to the address on the bill. It is also possible to pay by credit card through the student accounts section of myfordham.edu but be aware that Fordham adds an extra percentage charge (I forgot how much extra it is) for bills paid by credit card. You can also go to the registrars office and pay by check or credit card. In any event, I would wait you get a bill or until the entire amount (tuition, room and board) is posted on my.fordham. Being that you are a foreign student, if your family cannot write checks in US Dollar denominations, you may want to stop by the registrar’s office to see how to best handle paying the bill. Maybe they would waive the credit card extra charge if you live overseas?? I just don’t know.

If you have time now, you may want to call or email the billing office at (you need to add the US code) 718-817-4900 or email them at studentaccts@fordham.edu to try to pre-arrage the best payment method. Good luck.

happy1:
Thank you so much for your quick response! I can buy travellers’ check of American Express at home. So I think I will bring that with me to school on the Move-in Day.
Have a nice day!

Probably not a good idea to wait until move in day to pay. Your bill should be up on my.fordham by now (under the student tab…my account, go to statement and payment) with housing at a standard rate estimate. There will be a second and final bill due July 27 and housing arrangements will have been finalized by then. I would check for the final bill and then submit payment. It’s probably worth an email to the contact info provided by happy1 to find out the easiest way to pay. I’m sure it’s a common question from international students. :)

and if you have a NEGATIVE balance?

They said they would refund the difference if you paid based on a standard double room rate and were tripled. But if you wait for the second bill it should be finalized…this is what I was told by student accounts.
