does the school charge extra if you pay your tuition with a credit card?

I just returned from UB orientation yesterday and that question was asked during one of our sessions. (I’m a parent).

The answer was no. No extra fee to pay by credit card.

Fees are involved only if you wish to sign up for the service that spreads out the semester payments into 3 or 4 smaller payments over the course of the semester.

thank you!

No fee for credit card use… at least for the last two years. Have not paid this Fall tuition yet.

Has anyone been able to access the website and pay Fall 2011 tuition? We’ve been unable to get the links, it’s hard to get tuition info. Deadline is in 2 weeks or so.

Do you mean that you can’t access HUB? We haven’t had any problem with that, though D’s fall FA hasn’t been packaged yet so we’re kind of dead in the water until they post that.

When are we supposed to pay tuition? Is there a due date?

^ my due date is on August 23 there are different due dates for everyone.

Here’s the website, it gives all the information about the due date

[UB Office of Student Accounts: Billing & Payment - Fall Billing Dates](<a href=“Student Accounts - University at Buffalo”>Student Accounts - University at Buffalo)

Everyone should have the same due date…8/23, unless you’re on a payment plan.

It looks like they keep updating the website. We did have problems accessing it but we were helped through it. Yes they will have to issue refunds once financial aid comes through. I suspect there will be a lot of confusion as bills went to the students who aren’t used to handling this, many are traveling or working in camps and may not have online access. We had to allow popups for the UB site to access financials and arrange to be notified of bills, etc.

Do you guys know exactly how much is due on this deadline? I see a lot of different numbers.

They really screwed up this year with all of their changes but basically, take your total tuition and subtract your anticipated aid and that should be what you owe.

^I think you meant to say take your total charges and subtract anticipated aid. That’s also the answer I got from the SRC…just thought I’d pass that along so everyone else didn’t spend 30 minutes of their lives on hold!
