*Tulane Applicants (and parents) for Class of 2017*

Well, I've seen a bunch of various conversations about applying in different threads, so I thought we could consolidate a little to this thread and just talk about anxieties, acceptances, thoughts, or whatever.

I just submitted my EA application about a week ago and my school transcripts are still not on Gibson, so it'll probably be a while before I find out. I'm hoping it's at least a little before December 15th so that I can have a little less stress. I'm also applying to Rice in the early process.

Good Luck Guys!

Gibson has been showing ‘application complete’ for my son for about five days now…I’m hoping he gets a clear accept/reject soon (and not the dreaded waitlist). He has his heart set on Tulane, so although he’s gotten 3 accepts (with $$) from other schools, we’re on pins and needles waiting for this one.

Good luck all!

Good luck to your son! My counselor sent in my transcript and secondary school report on Tuesday I believe and I sent a couple letters of recommendation a few days ago so hopefully my application is marked as complete soon… I have my heart set on Tulane too (if I can get enough money to go there).

Hi Bowler - how did u send the teacher recs to Tulane - snail mail, electronically??

The teacher recs were sent by mail so they should be there by now. But that shouldn’t affect how soon my application is marked as completer as teacher recs aren’t really required, right?
I am just assuming my counselor sent everything as it told her to on the official document request or even if she sent it by mail… it’s been a week so maybe they just haven’t processed it yet?

Edit:
I think the teacher recs can be sent electronically. However, I am not familiar with the process nor are my recommenders so I just sent them myself by mail.

Tulane doesn’t require teacher reqs, so I’m not quite sure how they’re handled. I didn’t send in any with my application. I applied on October 15th for Early Action and was accepted today.

Good luck to all of you!

Well I just sent over my first quarter grades to Tulane. I hope to hear back soon!

Good luck cheer, I’m sure that will help. I hope you hear back soon as well. It really isn’t fun waiting for a decision. :\ Whether I am accepted or not will definitely determine my future for the next 4 years…

Accepted! I was surprised to hear so soon.

Congratulations AskBoston. When did you apply? My DD applied a week ago and her status is still showing as incomplete!

Congrats askBoston! My status was marked as complete about 1.5 weeks after I sent everything in.

Bowler, thanks. That makes me feel better. How long did it take to receive your acceptance? If I remember correctly, it was pretty quick after that.

congrats to everyone being accepted! feel free to PM me with any questions about tulane :)

My daughter had her application completed and submitted 10/3/2012. Her Performance rep and music resume submitted via email 10/18/2012 and she was accepted 11/7/2012.
