Tulane EA 2025 Decisions

That is concerning!

But did they change to ED II? Because that would make sense. If they changed to RD, that is weird

Tulane told us they have a second round of EA decisions. It still had the same EA application deadline. It sounded very strange to me as well.

I realize that my daughter’s experience with Tulane may be atypical, but it does make me think that @tayswizzle may be telling the truth in their statement. Often it’s the case deferred students are “encouraged” to go EDII, but this whole second round of EA decisions has me quite confused.

@antiquedealermom Hi! The people who I do know that got accepted in January received a deferral decision in December because that’s when EA decisions came out and filled out a form saying that they would like to be considered as part of the RD pool; they didn’t switch to ED II. I’ve never heard of this second round of EA decisions because I got accepted to Tulane in Dec. but this may explain why some decisions came out in January for EA? My next guess would be this might just be a Louisiana thing. Regardless, good luck to both of y’all and I hope to see y’all’s children on campus next year

I will be participating! Wish we could have it in person but I think it’ll still be a good experience

did anyone else get an interview from TPM
I have no idea what to expect. kinda bittersweet receiving that email bc the school is incredibly expensive even w my scholarship lol

If I didn’t receive any email invitation is that a bad sign for rd?

Can I ask what were your stats? My son did not get the interview & he was disappointed

It says Fly-in Program, so I am wondering if anyone will really fly in and then get reimbursement.

Stamps are out. Someone I know got it. Just 5 kids across the whole university.

Only 5, man! LSU has 10.

It was only 4 last year! So this is better. And with all the different schools I believe Stamps depends on size of school. LSU is a heckuva lot bigger than Tulane!

But I bet schools handle it similar to ROTC scholarships and since someone else is paying full bill they would give them in state tuition to pay.
But however they do it, I am so thankful to Stamps and Tulane.

@FeiXing, that’s a very abrupt (some would say rude) way for your friends to congratulate you on your daughter’s admission to a very strong school. It’s no doubt that Tulane’s nearly $80k price tag is very expensive, but I’m sure you were well aware of that before she applied. My guess is they were fishing to see how much your daughter got in scholarships, which is none of their business. Congrats on your daughter’s acceptance!

Thank you so much for the encouraging words! They are not my friends, just acquaintances.

yeah, i have a 1560, 4.0 uw 13 APs. However, I honestly don’t think it’s bc of stats since the cutoff for an invite was already like a 35+ and like a 3.8? 3.9+. I have a solid amount of patient care experience which I centered the essay on and have spent a fair amount of time in the past few years working/training at the hospital.
