Tulane EA 2025 Decisions

Does anyone know if Tulane was open these past few days (with Mardi Gras and all of the cold weather going on)? I emailed my admissions officer on Wednesday about something and hadn’t heard back; she’s usually very quick. Or do you think they’re just getting swamped with emails this time of year, and I should just be patient lol.

Probably a combination of both. They were closed Tuesday (Mardi Gras Day) and there have been some disruptions with the unusual weather. The resulting backlog of work combined with the normal demands of this time of year may have slowed things down a bit.

Sent a question yesterday to the regional admission counselor, and instantly received a reply.

Hi! I was just wondering if Tulane sends acceptance packets by mail. I’m an international student and was accepted.

They email you that there are updates, and you just check your portal.

We received an acceptance packet a few days after the portal update.

I meant a physical letter in an envelope

I have not received that yet, so what should I do?

I am also a parent and a Sr. HR professional for three tech/manufacturing companies and I have to disagree with you. I have found the polar opposite to be true. The “label” of the school you’re coming from means far less than the experience you bring to the table. We have had much more success recruiting ambitious kids from mid-tier schools than the label schools. We are more interested in “doers” than “show-ers”. In terms of tech/engineering, as long as the school has a sound science program and is ABET certified that’s our base for consideration- from there it’s all about internships, work experience and drive. Nothing against the upper tier schools per say… it just does absolutely nothing in our eyes in terms of recruitment.

The moral of the story… pick a school according to fit and where you feel most comfortable; success in your environment means far more to corporate recruiters than the name of the school you’re coming from. Especially for undergrad.

No Loan Assistance Scholarship has increased the cap from AGI 75,000 to 100,000.

Unfortunately, I believe the valedictorian scholarship has been discontinued :((( I wish it was still in place

When will STAMPS Scholars be announced?

I asked this question in the chat box during the live with President Fitts the other evening. One AO typed that the Deans were still deciding and decisions would be out mid March. Somebody else asked again later, and the other AO fielding questions said if you hadn’t heard anything, you didn’t get it.

does anyone have any educated guesses on when decisions will be released??

probably around early April/late march

I have not seen anyone post about Stamps so I am guessing they haven’t been announced? Anyone know anything??

Something similar happened to my daughter as well. She applied in early November for EA and her counselor submitted her documents in October via Navience. For whatever reason, Tulane never grabbed the academic documents. When she didn’t get her decision in December, she reached out to admissions, who told her if her counselor submitted them via email she’d be considered fine their “second wave of EA decisions.” The counselor submitted ASAP, hours before the close of business at Tulane for the same day. Tulane then failed to pick them up for more than two weeks (partly due to the holidays), despite my daughter reaching out to confirm several times.

Finally, after promising they’d still be evaluated for EA, they came back and said instead they’d choose to look at her for RD. This was very disappointing based on their prior communication and the fact that they’d received the documents twice, but failed to download them.

At the end of the day she was obviously disappointed, but we do understand that sometimes applications fall through the cracks once received. I personally wasn’t thrilled with the fact that they made no effort to make it right or follow their original indications. We’ll see what happens with RD, but my understanding is that acceptance rates at Tulane drop significantly from EA to RD.

I’m a Louisiana resident and a couple of my friends who were deferred back in December actually got admitted in January so I assume it’s rolling decision? They got notifications about their application updates through email so keep an eye out for that.
