Somewhere along the way someone said that they were hoping to have the mail reach students before the portal was updated. I wonder if they decided to postpone updating the portal by a day or so…
My D was so excited because she got a large Tulane envelope today, but it was just a reminder about FAFSA and CSS profile dates for financial aid.
No change on her portal this evening either…
@3kidsinMA I think that was speculation earlier in the thread, unless you happened to email an AO who could tell us for sure! Even if they wanted to do that, it would be kind of strange that they would wait this long to change the online release date to Tuesday. I dont know… hopefully you are right!

Does Tulane distribute any “automatic” merit aid before receiving any “need” info such as FAFSA and CSS PROFILE?
@tula32 Tulane is need-blind so when merit aid is determined FAFSA/CSS Profile would not be taken into consideration at all. Those documents are actually processed through a completely different office–The Office of Financial Aid.
@2021Hopeful not necessarily. Tulane does not release decisions on a rolling basis. So the time when you submitted your application does not determine when you will hear back. You are guaranteed to hear back before December 20th but it could be anytime in-between now and then. The AOs read the applications in a random fashion and then release the decision as they go along.
My daughter’s HS college counselor sent me an email today saying that if we don’t get the CSS Profile in BEFORE the admission decision is made, it can hurt my daughter’s admission chances. Should I believe this theory?
Looks like there was 1 acceptance yesterday by mail per this board . I’m wondering if that person got their letter in 1 day and most will come today. In other words Monday was like a Saturday and Tues is like a Monday. Just sayin. We got the financial aid letter and thought it was an acceptance. Ugh!
