Tulane EA/ED Decisions Class of 2022

I have a semester final to take for AP Gov tomorrow but I’ve been too busy incessantly refreshing this page to see any updates about this portal thing. I think it’s insanity

Based on the videos they put out about whether you should apply ED or EA, I think Tulane realizes that some people apply EA because of the financial aspect alone. I tried to really use the Why Tulane essay to show that

When the EA decision becomes live on the portal in the next few days, will we get an email that notifies us?

Jeff Schiffmam, Tulane Director of Admissions has indicated letters go out 12/17, portal updates 12/19. LA students who meet guaranteed acceptance may have heard, others I’d like to see a screenshot since Tulane EA has NOT been communicated per Tulane.

Other people have @ admissions seem to have indicated that letters go out the 15th, which is reasonable considering that letters could not be mailed today…but who knows @Nolamom2021

Since everyone seems to need something to ease the tension today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOrtXS8b_H8

Here’s something to take your mind off the decision guys  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BKywT1BQW_M

UPDATE:

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but here it goes:
My friend who EA’d and has received his letter of acceptance in the mail also cannot access EDII.

Granted, it is only two EA acceptances who cannot access EDII.

(Feel free to PM with any specific questions you may have for me.)

Thank you for the update, but I’m saying a quiet prayer that the frenzy of panic will not restart…

Is it true that Tulane really only defers or accepts EA applicants and hardly any ever get denied? I read that from their admissions but it was an article from 2009. Anyone know if this is still true today?

^^^

my ED2 form works, what does that mean?

@elitefire is your friend that was admitted EA from LA or a surrounding state?

@ksuser2022 my friend is from LA.

What happens when you hit the ED 2 button, does it say “unavailable” right away, or do you have to submit first?

@acceptedman there is a lot of speculation surrounding what it actually means. That being said, people are theorizing that if your ED II form doesn’t work, then you have been admitted EA. If does work, then it possibly means you have been deferred. Nothing has been confirmed nor denied, so we should all take that info with a grain of salt.

mine says “apply ED2” and now I’m lowkey sad

what do you all see as SOON as you hit the button??

@acceptedman As soon as I hit the button it says “We’re sorry, this form is not available. Please contact your assigned admission counselor if you have questions.”

mine says: We’re sorry, this form is not available. Please contact your assigned admission counselor if you have questions.
