Tulane EA/ED Decisions Class of 2022

ok thanks. so what does that mean?

@ls2018 The EDII button works for us.

It says “we’re sorry, this form is not available. Please contact your assigned admission counselor if you have any questions.”
The message comes up right after clicking on the ED II button.

I have a 33 ACT, 3.99GPA, 4 national honors societies (president of one of them), 7 AP classes total, many many honors, and an insane amount of extra curricular (Varsity Debate, Model United Nations, Robotics team, and more) and my EDII button works…thoughts??

@acceptedman how much interest have you shown in Tulane? You have great stats and extracurriculars. I am a fellow Varisty Debater myself

what are your stats? have you toured?

@ksuser2022 EDII button works for me. I haven’t been able to tour Tulane physically and I said that in my “Why Tulane” essay but I mentioned how I did numerous virtual tours, went to every admissions visit at my high school and college fair, and badgered the students who went to Tulane to ask them about questions. I spoke about actual sites like the McAlister Auditorum and Yulman Stadium and also some professors at Tulane as well.

I have not toured as I live far away- people earlier were suggesting that those with great stats may be deferred as it may appear as a safety, when in fact it is not. Thoughts?

@acceptedman Same thing here. I’ve also heard that Tulane has rejected high-scoring applicants for that reason. I’m not really worried though.

I think that it would be kind of crazy for them to accept people with lower stats and defer those with higher stats based on the assumption it’s a safety…I’ve heard it before and I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, but it just doesn’t make sense

@acceptedman I feel like that would seem more relevant to someone who had super high test scores like a 35 or 36 on the act, rather than a 33/32. Either way, it’s ridiculous to turn people down because they are “too qualified”

@acceptedman I really tried to show in my WhyTulane that it wasn’t a safety for me, although my stats are a bit above average and I’m a URM with good extracurriculars. If I get deferred I’d actually be somewhat surprised.

I’m tweaking … I’m in IL and I’m scared my letter won’t get here till after Tuesday and ahhhh this is so stressful

I agree that turning down high stats kids is dumb and irrational. I think that a lot of what people are saying at this point is just speculation, and that the ED II button most likely is not an early indicator of admission/deferral. Guess we will just have to wait until tomorrow or Tuesday to see what it actually means. Good luck to all and Roll Wave!

I to ask but how did your friend get mail on a Sunday? USPS does not deliver on Sunday, with the exception of Priorty Mail.

I asked my cousin who is an athletic commit and 100% enrolling next year, she is able to see the switch form

Well I guess Ill just assume that If my EDII button works than i didn’t get accepted, but hopefully there is no correlation. Im sure tomorrow some of us will contact admissions and find out, so keep us posted!!

@Peterya Wait what, your cousin also saw it???

@acceptedman yeah shes accepted and attending and when clicking the link she opens the form

bless @Peterya
