My friend was accepted from New Jersey but I didn’t get anything yet…feeling like I got deferred since I’m international (living in NJ) and can’t pay fully for the tuition. Also my ED button did work last night
@TheGruntHimself I am also from NorCal and the EDII button did not work for me last night and now it is gone. My mail has not come yet.
it says admitted because thats literally a button to press to see what to do if ur an admitted student lol
@ilovebananas27 i didnt apply for a scholarship and mine says admitted but im not sure if it means anything…
you can click on the admitted button. its just a tab for admitted students to press on the website I don’t think it means anything
The admitted button is there even when you’re not logged in it doesn’t mean anything. the ED II button seems to be more accurate of a conspiracy
so when is the portal updated??
@808college808 and everyone: now I am confused. What I am clicking is the dropdown menu where I can select the overall status or one of the scholarships. I am doing that from a computer and a phone.
Got my letter here in TX
27k/yr - 3.78 UW and 1450 SAT
did any1 in SoCal San Diego area get letters??
I applied to the Paul Tulane scholarship and after clicking on it from the drop-down menu it still says just submitted. I also did not receive anything in the mail today and the EDII link worked for me yesterday (and today using Google). Really worried now – I did everything I could to show interest given I live in WI, I emailed my admissions counselor (with no response) and wrote the “Why Tulane” essay…
.
also @ilovebananas27 the portal is supposed to be updated at 5PM EST tomorrow.
@wiscorunner @tulhoy1 i wouldnt worry about it because the admitted button is there even if you are not logged in
I think the ED2 form accessed via Google search theory was debunked, someone who got in today could access it that way. Not sure about the scholarship. New possible conspiracy theory: has anyone who got in tried to log in to Gibson? I did that, I can log in but there is zero info, even on my profile. Curious if anyone who got a scholarship can see more.
kind of worried, tulane’s not my top choice but I’d like to get in and it would be a bad sign for me to be rejected considering the selectivity of the other schools I’m applying to, I thought I had I pretty fair shot (34 act, 2/287 rank, decent ecs + leadership)
@808college808 do you mean the Tuition and Aid heading in the general table of contents? If so yes I have and “Admitted” option, but how about the dropdown - does anyone have something other than “Submitted?” I am waiting to see the option “Committed” on my page any second now.
So the speculation is that merit aid letters are received today? I don’t think that merit aid would be only sent out one day - guys, it’s USPS, even if admissions tried they couldn’t successfully land groups of different decisions in letters each individual day. Letters were sent out on one day correct? Take it from someone reliant on a hefty scholarship to attend this school. Really hoping the conspiracies fly to the wind in the next couple days, because otherwise I’m screwed.
@flower124love I didn’t do the why Tulane essay either and I’m stressing really hard. Let me know if you get in!
Straight from the Tulane website: “We release admission decisions as they become available, up to the notification deadline for each application period. It is important to remember that this means some students will receive their admission decision at different times than others. Therefore the order in which applicants receive their admission decision is not reflective of the decision itself. Applicants should not assume they have been admitted or denied if they know of someone else that has received a decision before them.”
