@kiaigirl homegirl I am in a very similar situation. At this point, all we can do is get ourselves excited about what we have. It feels like everything we worked for, while others were slacking, is just meaningless now. Here’s what I’ve been telling myself- it doesn’t matter where you go, what matters is what you do while you’re there. You are clearly very smart, and you’ll do great in college. I bet that in one year, we will both be so happy that we’ll feel silly for stressing and being sad
@purple21_ Did you receive an email and portal update? We are in Illinois and the portal is not updated and we have not received an email.

@purple21_ Thank you for responding.
@hopefulwfu44 and anyone else who gets a Guaranteed Transfer offer – this happened to my son last year at Boston University. I have some hindsight that I want to share with you as a mom. His scores and gpa were higher than the norm there, he visited, applied to their honors college (shows even more interest), and he was disappointed to get the GT offer. At the time we thought it was a ridiculous thing to do, so he didn’t complete the online form or paperwork for the transfer to be a possibility. There was no obligation to attend as a sophomore, but you had to do the forms. And he would not have found out about any financial aid unless he was a sophomore transferring in. Basically, looking back, it would’ve been no risk to just have the school as an option a year later. Just in case. I would encourage you to find out what the stipulations are. Keep your options open. Maybe you can strategically attend a local and less expensive school for your freshman year and fulfill any course obligations that Tulane wants. Maybe you go to whatever school you want to go to, but you will still have Tulane as an option next year. My son is thriving and is super happy at Ohio State (which ironically was one of his safety schools), and he is not looking to transfer out – everything is perfect, but I think now that it would not have been a risk at all to have the option. Don’t let the sting of the offer stop you from keeping it as an option if there is no risk. Best of luck to all.
waitlisted from ny, 3.5 gpa, 1980 SAT, 30 ACT
@TennisMom007 anytime. Good luck! Let us know if you hear anything
Wow!
So glad I have been following this cycle of Tulane 2021.
We went to a local (CA) presentation for Tulane last fall, got a complementary green cap, and my daughter was quite excited about Tulane all around.
Now, I will be discouraging her from applying.
This year the entire admission process for Tulane has been filled with frustration and confusion.
By far the most on all of CC.
Too bad.
Tulane is probably better than that but most of us will never know, and I will encourage my kids to focus on other schools with better and more consistently positive feedback from applicants and their families.
I think we all need to send an email to Jeff saying how terrible this process was. Out of all the schools out there that I’ve applied to, Tulane is the only one with a terrible process. Absolutely awful
