tulane, USC, UC anything

hey all, i'm relatively new, just wondering if i could get anyone's input on my chances at the following: tulane, USC, american, loyola NO or marymount, UT Austin and UC anything.

i'm a TX resident (and i realize that screws up my shot at a reputable UC, but oh well) and i go to a competitive catholic school. eventually, i'm hoping to major in biology and become a doctor although i think BA/MD at USC is a verrrrrryy long shot.

GPA: 4.029; rank: unk (very close to, if not in the top 10%); 8 AP's by graduation
SAT: 2060 (V: 740; M: 650; W: 670)
SAT II: Spanish (770); Bio-E (710); Lit (700)

i've got relatively okay, although really not spectacular-in-any-way EC's (think president of cultural club, NHS, ~200 hrs of CS, 60 hr hospital intern, holds down a part-time job at retail store).

i'm also half-asian, half-white (i know, double-whammy there). anyway, i'm hoping i can get some valid insight into my shot at any of those schools, so thanks!

UCLA/UCB: Reach (out of state)
UCSD: Slight Reach (out of state)
UCD/UCSB/UCI: Safe Match (out of state)
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Safety (out of state)
USC: Match

Im applying to tulane as well. i'd say you're a match

woo, thanks for replying guys! i'd say usc & tulane are my top choices so i guess i'm in okay shape.

anyone know anything about how competitive admission to american, loyola marymount, or UT is? (let's assume i'm in the top 11% for UT)

You should get into UT (even though it's not a given)
loyola should be easy
American no idea

im from california and ill be attending ucla in the fall! i did get in to usc. loyal and usc are raising their standards because they both developed a reputation of being a party school. it will be tough to get into cal and ucla. California has some of the top students in the country and we have first dibs on some of the best schools in the country! For example i come from an average highschool. my high school had 27 students accepted by ucla, 15 to berkeley, 14 to loyola, and 5 to usc!!! among those we were also accepted to Harvard, Williams, Howard, Pepperdine, Cornell, Georgetown and many more. so you are up against some tough competition here in cali and many other students across the country feel the same way. dont let this discourage you! focus on your personal statement!!! you have the rest! good luck.
cal and ucla-maybe but a bit of a reach
ucsd and uci-possible
ucsb, ucd, ucsc, and ucm-pretty good shot
usc-very possible
loyola-very possible
