give me the low down. postives and negatives rankings/ location/ professors/ everything.
finance then go to law school and interested in psychology

Tulane–students with zero motivation and far too much beer. They’re is desperate for lower admittance rates, and spammed almost every half-decent high school '09er in the U.S… Spare yourself.

Fordham is a Jesuit school… not sure how you feel about that…

I’ve heard different things about Tulane, also it has both good a law school and a good psych school

All I know about American is that it’s in DC…

Did any of them offer you scholarship $?

Haha I agree with firefly. Plus it’s in New Orleans, gross.

I disagree with firefly. I know some Tulane kids that are very motivated. I guess you think the 14 schools ranked above it on the party list are horrible as well? All schools spammed people, the average ACT is a 31 at Tulane.

New Orleans is a great city, and students get to participate in many activities not offered at other places, including unheard of levels of community service.

Quit bashing a school simply because it sends out a lot of stuff (WUSTL sent out a ****load of stuff and it is ranked very high), and because you think the students drink a lot.

No school is gonna make the top 100 (much less 51st), with 0 motivation in their students, who for all their lack of motivation somehow manage an average 31 act and 3.8 gpa.

Right.

Dick.

^ Haha, lol.

In 2008, Financial Times ranked Tulane #10 in the WORLD for finance.

[Tulane University - Financial Times Names Tulane University Among World’s Top 10 Schools for Finance](http://tulane.edu/news/releases/012808.cfm)

75% of the university comes from more than 500 miles away. That is in part due to the advertising. Yes it is annoying to get mail you don’t want, but considering most people in the country have heard of a school down in Louisiana that only has 6,000 undergrads, I think it’s fair to say it’s a good school with positive PR.

Here’s one of my favorite TU quotes:

Frequently asked question: Have I ever bombed?
Answer: I’ve told some stinkers in my day, but that’s part of the journey. I’ll never forget telling a usually reliable joke at Tulane about how much it sucks, when you’re in college, to brag to all your friends from home about how awesome your school is and how much you party, but when they finally come and visit…it’s the worst weekend ever. I’ve never seen more confused faces. Apparently there’s never been a slow weekend in the storied history of Tulane and they had no idea what I was talking about. But that’s the nature of the beast. One minute you’re golden, and the next you’re bombing worse than Dresden in World War II.

So firefly is right about the excess of beer.
