Has anyone gotten off the waitlist at tulane university yet this year? or has anyone heard when people might get off the waitlist?
i haven’t heard of anyone getting off the waitlist yet. i have a feeling bc the ed1 acceptance rate was 50% and every person accepted ea got money that they probs won’t go to the waitlist unfortunately.
Does anyone know the waitlist acceptance rate over the past few years for Tulane? This has been so stressful, i’ve even been deferred.
it’s so so frustrating. unfortunately colleges rarely give out any info abt waitlists. i know that tulane offered abt 1,000 students a spot on the waitlist which is rlly good considering the size of tulane and the large application pools.
ive called admissions 4 times and got 4 different answers about waitlist decisions. the first lady said before may 15, next by the end of june, next within a couple months, and finally by the end of july. the answers kept getting worse so idk what to think
does anyone think they will use the waitlist this year?
If they try to make it “By the end of June” or by the end of July, you should take Tulane off youre list and accept where youre going. No student should be waiting until July or June for a waitlist spot. Personally, if they dont contact you by the end of youre school year, I would remove yourself from the waitlist, and use the summer to prepare for where you will be studying next year. Waiting until July to make a decision when the school year starts in the fall is unheard of and would be a mistake. If they dont contact you by the end of may, waiting is pointless.
i called admissions today and was told that the status of the waitlist is “not looking too good”. they are hoping to send out final decisions by the first week of june. i hope this helps!
I was admitted as a Spring Scholar and accepted in January, but was 2 days late sending my enrollment fee. I’ve been focusing on getting all my paperwork in for the Fall abroad program. Anyway, Tulane rescinded my acceptance because they have massively overbooked this year and so any slip up and you’re out. Ive heard there are at least 30 others this happened to. If you’re on a wait list I would move on to another choice.
Yield for this year’s class jumped 9 points to 45%. That’s a massive increase year over year which they likely underestimated. As a result, they probably offered more spots than needed and are now over-enrolled. This does not bode well for waitlist usage.
i called a few days ago and they said they’d let us know mid june but who knows
