I know dorms have extra long twin beds and require twin extra long sheets. But it seems as though there isn't a standard twin extra long comforter/duvet cover at places where they sell extra long twin sheets. I did some research and found that most people just use regular twin comforters/duvet covers. I love to get all curled up in my comforter...will a twin comforter cover my bed? Or would having a full size comforter/duvet cover make sense? Is that a fairly common thing on campus? Will a full size comforter just be too big for my bed?

Sorry if this is a weird question, and thanks in advance!

The twin comforter will be fine, and full will probably be way too big, especially if one side of your bed is pushed up against a wall.

During August, Stores will have them on sale for like $10. Twin XL

I like curling up, and my solution is actually a king-sized comforter. Why?

Well, a king-sized bed is exactly two Twin XLs side-by side. So, the comforter folds over perfectly. It’s really the perfect combination for curling up during a cold night.

You’re overthinking. A lot.

I used a full comforter when I lived in a dorm… It worked out fine. It wasn’t way too big nor did it get in the way.

I used a twin sized comforter on my twin XL bed and was perfectly content. It never even occurred to me to think it might be too small.

Wait until August when all the stores have college stuff. You’ll have no problem finding a twin XL comforter.

I got my twin XL fleecey blanket last August at the Bonton home store for $20 and it was perfect!

We dropped off my son at his internship uni and they provide everything except a twin XL mattress pad. So we went looking for one. BBB had them for $30. Target had them for $4. So we went with that. He took his queen comforter as he likes to look like a rollup.

I too took a queen comforter. It hung over enough so it didn’t look like my tall bed was highwatering it, if you know what I mean.

In DD’s dorm, the beds have hooks that can be set at about four different levels, so things go underneath them (like the dresser). A bigger comforter might cover up the underbed mess. Although I would be willing wager that the only time DD’s bed is made is the time I make it when she moves in so it really doesn’t matter one bit.

You shouldn’t have any problems finding a Twin XL comforter. Maybe you just have to wait a bit more until all the college stuff is in stores, but for me, my mom found a set of Twin XL bedclothes that included two sets of sheets, 2 pillowcases, and a comforter. I know these sets are fairly common at places like Target and Wal-Mart.
