Two B's-How big of a problem?

I got my first semester grades back and they aren't two (pun intended LOL) great Take note when reading them that I am not a math/science person (if that makes any difference). I put my top 3 majors as poli sci/history/biology (I got an A in bio both semesters last year and a 5 on the AP=yay for sciences with little math LOL).

AP Gov/Econ-A
AP Calc BC-B
AP Physics C-B
AP Envi Sci-A
AP English-A
Model UN-A

Course Rigor-Top 5 most rigorous for this semester and I go to a top public high school. My schedule was characterized as "insane" by our val. AP Physics C is considered the hardest course at our school and AP calc BC is like considered third hardest. Also AP envi sci has a crapload of homework even though it is easy. Also, I've had migraine problems especially in october/november and this set me back in calc and physics and those classes are difficult to self study especially physics. My counselor will mention this.

How much will this hurt me? I've only gotten 2 Bs in HS (1 in freshman year and 1 in jr year. the jr. year B was pre calc honors; math and I don't get along LOL)

Assuming your scores, ECs, and everything else are great, these two Bs won’t make much of a difference. They’re looking at the entire package, not just your first semester senior year grades. Relax. Worry about something constructive instead.

@veryhappy:

Note: My counselor actually will not write a note as she does not feel that it constitutes a big enough GPA drop and she doesn’t want to raise red flags.

Also, my test scores are as follows:

SAT: 2090 (retaking in Jan.; awaiting score)
ACT: 32
SAT II
710-Bio E
770-US History
AP
5-US
5-Euro
5-Bio
5-Comp. Gov (independent study)
4-Eng. Lang
4-Human Geo
My ECs are pretty good (better than my test scores I would say).

not really much at all. don’t worry too much about that.
