Two-day orientation or one day?

So there are 5 orientations...two of them being 2-day ones.

What difference is there really between them (other than the fact that it's of course a day longer)? Which is better?

And is better to go the earlier orientations? Does it matter?

The one-day orientations have much of the same information stuffed into one day. There are fewer presentations (most of the info can be found online anyway). However, I liked going for the 2 day orientation because I got to sleep in a reshall and meet tons of people at the nighttime activity.

The date of your orientation does not matter. You aren’t going to be registering for classes so whether you go to the first session or the last is completely up to you.

I thought all orientation events are 2-day?

New Student Orientation Dates:
Thursday and Friday, June 18 and 19
Monday and Tuesday, June 22 and 23
Friday and Saturday, June 26 and 27
Thursday and Friday, September 17 and 18

***Please note that the overnight aspect of orientation is a required part of the program, even if you live locally.

I think it depends on the college. Those dates sound like Revelle. And a one-day option could be ERC.

Hmmm…i just registered on the official site and it definitely said some where only for a day.

Yeah, I forgot to note that I’m an ERC student. So that probably explains it.

how come mine is only Sep 17-18??? there’s no other choice.

^ means your at sixth’s correct? I am too, i guess thats the only day they can do it?

Im at Warren

I think Warren and Sixth both have only one orientation option, right before school starts.

^ which really sucks :(

I got a letter from ERC saying that we choose our classes with our E-advisor thing on AUG 28-30. They said something about having to attend orientation before choosing classes.
I’m so confused…

Or maybe we’re just choosing and not registering yet?
