Two English and one math courses UC requirement

Hi ,

I have been told that we need to finish TWO English composition and one math courses by the end of Fall 2010 to be considered for admission for Fall 2011 in UCSD. Is that true?

How about UCB, and UCLA ?

Appreciate any input .
Thanks

Um no. You need them completed by the end of the spring semester. Though a friend of mine who had a 3.8 GPA got her TAG application rejected from Davis because she was waiting to complete her math in the spring semester.

Isn’t it a bit late to be asking/ worrying about this?

@ntpntp: That requirement you’re referring to is for the UCSD TAG program. If you’re on TAG, you need to have all your UC math/English transfer requirements completed by the fall prior to your transfer. If you don’t get them done by fall, you’ll be disqualified from TAG and counted as a regular applicant.

Thank you for your answers cause’ i recently heard that UCSD would stop receiving transfer strudents who don’t have 2 English and one math completed by the end of Fall.

For TAG UCSD applicants, that’s correct. For regular UCSD transfers, you need to have those classes done by spring.
