Two Important Questions!

1: My applications are mostley all due on janurary 15th but my SSAT is on janurary 8th will this be a problem because what if the school cant get the scores by the 15th??

2: Can I use SSAT books from past years to help me study for this SSAT? I have books from past years already and i dont want to buy a new book will it be alright to use the 2005 booklet?

I don’t think the January 15 SSAT is a problem with most school, but that’s something you’ll want to check. I know most recommend taking either the November or December one. You put the date you’re taking the test on your application, so they’ll know your scores are coming.

I don’t think the books change much from year to year, but you might want to check some Amazon reviews of the books you have just to be sure there weren’t any major changes to the test. I know the 2009/2010 books were virtually the same.

I remember being told at one of my interviews that if I wanted to take them in January that was okay with them and they would not penalize me for it.

when i went to my interviews i asked them if it was okay if i took the january 8th ssat, even if i had january 10 and 15 deadlines, and they said it was okay - just as long as the actual test was administered before the deadline.
