two open questions.

i'm going to be a sophomore this autumn, and i love the wealth of information in this community. i suppose i'm slightly new to CC. well, i had been lurking without a screen name for a while. then I decided to get a name, answer some threads, the like. i began researching a lot of college information on admissions this summer, all in all I read about 8 books (only 3 of which were nearly helpful), and countless articles both on the internet and in publications. i have two general questions for anybody who wants to take the time to answer:

how young is too young to begin obsessing about college?

and what do you regret about your personal experience in the college admissions process the most?

I'm a rising HS senior so pretty much SATs and definitely EC's.......

You have a lot of time for college, so use it wisely. I suggest studying for the SATs during your next summer break.

thanks for your reply. funny thing, i bought a new SAT prep book a couple weeks ago.

No problem at all. You can start practicing the SAT now if you want to. Just don't over do it lol.

Sophomore year is too early. I think junior year is when you should start worrying about all this stuff.

I think there's a difference between obsessing about college and thinking about college.
I think it's okay to think about it as early as you want. You can even start to do research on colleges and majors that you like, i think, your freshman year or middle school.
I think you start obsessing about it junior year/ summer between junior and senior year.
