I recently found out that Texas Southern University is cheaper than the University of Houston and am considering transferring there instead of UH after the completion of my studies at a community college. I am currently a freshman. I wanted to see which school is better in terms of academics, student life, and other various aspects that make a college reputable. I have also heard that upper division sciences at UH are a lot more stricter than that at TXSU, is this true? I plan to major in psychology and go to medical school after getting a b.a. Thanks.
Also, are the advisors and professors at TXSU helpful?
@omar7866, there is no significant difference to worry about or getting an advantage. Go with one which is more affordable for you.
UofH is more difficult that Texas Southern for sure but if you have plans on going to medical school you want the more difficult path. You have to have a high MCAT score to get into med school and cutting corners will come back to bite you.
