Types of Food and Drinks to Consume Before A Test to Increase Concentration & Focus?

Onions. Big boost to your brain, and as a side-benefit you usually get a table all to yourself.

^Lmao
10 c

^Lmao
10 char

^^^Lulz. I ought to try that.

don’t drink tea or coffee, those make you go pee pee

^ true story. possibly why i didn’t get 80 on my PSAT math. never again after that.

Ritalin. Just kidding, don’t do that, it’s not legal unless you have an attention disorder. I read an article about that, however.
Honestly, just get a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast (and a good lunch, if the test is after lunch of course).

I like to refuel by drinking that sweat that drips off my forehead as I take the ACT. People call me an animal…and I call them correct.

If you don’t usually do highly caffeinated or very sugary beverages, don’t do them before the big test. Vitamin Water or V8 juice is good, as is destressing a few days before the test. I’d been out of town in crazy robot fest in a different time zone the week before my first SAT sitting. I was more excitable during the test than I usually would’ve been and I think it cost me a 100+ points.

My friend drinks Brand’s Chicken Essence. It’s a British product, I think :\ but people around here put a lot of stock in it. I don’t know how much it helps him though.

Just eat a decent breakfast and get plenty of sleep the night before

Oh, and do not eat any fiber 18 hours prior to the Exam

-something really filling, like potatoes. idk about everyone, but potatoes make me feel warm and full and then i test better.
-peppermints. i am so serious.
-5-hour energy. if you must have caffeine [i’m a coffee addict, personally], drink it at least an hour before so you’re not jittery.

Red Bull and crack.

Orange juice and a hot meal work for me.

Try cranberry juice or if you prefer solids then eat something whole wheat with extra protein like peanut butter.

5 hour energy works so well

lol before exams like the SAT I just drink lots of water (it really keeps one alert). I’ve also heard that banana’s are brain food, so I have one of those as a snack.

If I’m tired/can’t focus to get homework done though, I’ll have a cup of coffee or tea with caffeine.
